Palm Printed Pants Please.

Seasonally speaking, printed pants are a hot topic; a hot topic which can look ‘not so hot’ on so many of us. Trying to master the colour, print & pattern, styles, cut, and textile just to suit our unique bodies (which let’s be honest can change from day to day - even if it’s just in our minds) is an arduous task to say the least.

As a general rule, a tailored pant is going to be the most flattering on most body shapes. Structure can help hide problem areas and a number of misgivings we have about our bodies. Looser cuts can be relatively forgiving. A very narrow cut, where the pant is quite tapered at the ankle, normally only looks like perfection on lean and towering goddess-like bodies - which is not the majority of us. Does it make sense to you now, as to why your skinny jeans always look infinitely better when you’re wearing heels? Height has many illusive benefits.

Prints, patterns and colours ought to be determined based on your size and shape too, as they are quite attention seeking. Dressing well is about knowing how to highlight your features, not emphasise troubles. Patterns and cuts really ought to be taken into consideration with each other, as either one can make a big difference to the benefits, or lack thereof, to the other. But if you’re smart about it, you can use the deceptive nature of cut and print to enhance your features and hide things you wish weren’t there.  xx
